Creating princess cakes is always a magical experience, but this one was extra special! One of my beloved royal customers has been ordering a princess cake for her daughters almost every year, and it’s an absolute honor to be a part of their celebrations. Each time, we explore a different princess, bringing beauty and deliciousness to life in cake form. This year, the chosen princess was none other than Rapunzel!
As always, I proposed a few design ideas, and we decided on this elegant side-profile look, where Rapunzel closes her eyes dreamily. The design reflects her romantic heart and dreaming spirit, lending a sophisticated air to this special cake.

Every part of this cake was hand-piped or drawn by me, but there are a few highlights that truly bring the design to life:
2.5D rapunzel not just icing
Instead of a flat image, I sculpted Rapunzel's face, body, and iconic golden hair separately, almost like a real doll. Her hair was meticulously piped in layers to create beautiful depth and fullness.

Rapunzel's signature flowers are so charming! I carefully chose the colors and shapes to reflect her look in Tangled from Disney. These tiny floral details add a soft, magical touch to her flowing locks.
a dress as delicious as it is beautifull
The dress design was another highlight. The soft pink ruffles were colored with homemade raspberry puree, and the lavender tones came from blueberry puree. It's amazing how natural ingredients create such vibrant colors! Not only does it look ethereal, but it also tastes fruity and fresh.
a cake fit for a princess
Beneath all the enchanting decoration is the customer's all-time favorite: a delectable combination of rare cheese mousse and raspberry mousse, nestled within a delicate genoise sponge. The light, airy texture and vibrant fruit flavors create an unforgettable taste experience.
An Extra Cut…
There's something so nostalgic about creating doll cakes. The frills, ribbons, pastel colors, and intricate princess cookie decorations take me right back to my own childhood dreams of fairytales and princesses. Bringing those dreams to life for my customers and their little ones is truly joyful.
