Tier 4 lockdown in London has been quite impacting on someone’s memorial occasions.

However, even though you cannot host a big party, you can still and surely enjoy a lovely made-to-order cake for your loved one like this Pokémon Squirtle cake!

The birthday boy has requested “Squirtle, Strawberry, and Chocolate“. It’s actually surprising that he wanted chocolates as I knew he didn’t like chocolates generally ( the boy is my son’s buddy in school! ).

With great pleasure, I found that he didn’t like chocolate normally, but liked CouCou Natsuha’s chocolate cake I made one year ago for the family.

I guess my chocolate cakes (Choco Deco in Menu & Order page) use good Bergan chocolates and less sweet compared with majority of chocolates in UK.

As I could secure good medium strawberries - you know, British strawberries tend to be BIG! - which are perfect for decoration, I made a lovely red ring around the Squirtle.

Pikachu and Gible cookies wore birthday hats like some Pokémon do in Pokémon GO Game, and I loved those simple party hats.

This time, however, I wanted to make something different and special as the Squirtle was a center piece on the cake.

Ta-da! Chocolate cake-ish Silkhat!!

Likely the real cake, the hat look like it’s made of chocolate sponges and strawberries :p

I of course have not missed the birthday boy’s signature in gold color.

An Extra Cut…

I’m always feeling happy whenever I pipe out my chocolate creams as they are quite stable longer time and smells amazingly…

Actually, like the birthday boy, I’m not a big fan of chocolates in many cases, but I do love my chocolate genoise sponges and creams which I’m confident that all chocolate lovers and non-lovers would say YES!
