Baby Fox and Honeybee Themed Birthday Sweets
A lovely little fox sleeping in a flowery spring field. Honeybees flying around blooming flowers.
I cannot think of any better theme for the baby girl turning one whose nickname is “Honeybee“ ♡

How the magic began
Probably you will image a bear and honeybees naturally, but what about a fox? My little son told me clearly “Mummy, Fox doesn’t eat Honey!“. Well, maybe foxes like honeys, but maybe it’s a bit tricky for people to join foxes and honeybees. However, when I show him a sketch of the tiered cake, decorated with a sleeping little fox in Spring field, among honeybees flying busily between flowers, he just claimed “It’s lovely and I like the fox!“ So I could be confident proposing this design to my client :)

cake
The two-tier cake is 6” on 10”, both in semi-naked style. The top tier is filled with my signature buttercream with happy sprinkles for kids guests, and the bottom tier holds rich chocolate buttercream.
The theme colors are pastel orange, baby mint blue, and lemon yellow. A fox with a flower crown is made with fondant, and my favorite small elements are Japanese cherry blossoms (because they can always make my decorations original and remind my origin) and a fox’s tail being sticking straight up.
The birthday girl’s name letters were specially made based on my client’s preference. The font design is sharp which often give us modern effects, but it actually worked well when they are colored in baby blue and lined up on the lemon yellow decorative plate.
Dreamy silky buttercream flowers are added to make the cake more splendid. I do love both buttercream flowers and sugar flowers, but buttercream flowers are always best for frosting lovers :)
Finally, the honeybees! It was simply fun time making these hard working little ladies ( Did you know all “worker bees“ are Female? ). All of them are smiling, buzzing, and flying a delicious buttercream flower to another.
Hold on before moving on cake pops please! You cannot miss the back of the cake. First of all, find a honeybee whose flying track doesn’t come from beautiful buttercream flowers. Where did she start her travel ?
Now turn the cake back, and you will find a honeycomb where she departed and her tracks - yes, her track draws ONE!
cake pops
They should be foxes and honeybees, of course! One thing I really would love to highlight is modeling pastes with white/dark chocolates are used here. It means decorations are more delicious and match better with white chocolates which cover pops :)
